Talents Day was celebrated on Saturday 12th August 2023 in our college campus. On this occasion the felicitation ceremony of meritorious students of 2022-23 batch was also held to acknowledge their efforts. Prof. Ramachandra L. Bhat, Retired Professor in Physics, Poornaprajna College, Udupi was the resource person for the felicitation programme.
While addressing the students Prof.R.L.Bhat highlighted the importance of ‘Skill’ in one's life. He said that every person is born with talent and ability. When these talents are combined with dedication, determination and hard work they bring success in one’s life. He congratulated all the meritorious students and appreciated their resilience.
Sri K. Ganesh Rao, Secretary, College Management Committee was nostalgic about the college and recalled those ‘good old days’. He expressed his gratitude to Late Mrs. Indira Ballal for her donation of the class rooms.
Sri N. Nagaraja Ballal, President of College Management Committee, in his presidential address spoke about the role of the students in the growth of an institution.
Our college Principal, Sri Sandeep Kumar announced the names of the meritorious students. The students were honoured with ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ by the dignitaries on the dias.
On this day, Dr. Arjun Ballal, the alumni, was felicitated by the honourable dignitaries for his unique achievements. He was felicitated for his exceptional accomplishment of securing the 3rd rank in Doctor of Medicine exam at KMC Manipal. He was the very first student of Vidyodaya who completed education from KG to PUC at our prestigious school and college campus. While sharing his opinion Dr. Arjun expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Heads of Vidyodaya Group of Institutions and faculty members for their unwavering support and guidance throughout his time in Vidyodaya.
Sraja H Hegde, the alumni and the Udupi district topper in NEET-2022 briefed the students about the guidelines to follow for the preparation of the Board Examination and Competitive Exams.
Smt. Ranjana K., Vice Principal welcomed the gathering and Smt. Shruthika Lecturer in Economics proposed vote of thanks. Smt. Anupama I, H.O.D, Dept. of English, compered the programme.
