Vidyodaya Pre-University College, Udupi organised an Orientation Programme for I PUC students and their parents. The chief guest and the resource person of the event was Dr. B. Bhaskara Rao, Retd. Prof. Manchester University, United Kingdom.
The major objectives of the programme was to make the parents and students aware of the academic aspects, rules and regulations of the institute, importance of competitive exams and its preparation and ensuring parental participation in monitoring the performance and progress of the students.
“A language is not just words; it’s a culture and is a vision of one’s life. English being a global language is very essential for global communication”.
Speaking at the joint session of parents and students orientation programme the resource person Sri Dr. B. Bhaskara Rao stressed the fact that English language and effective communication is a key factor in the success of one’s life.
Sri K. Ganesh Rao, the Secretary, College Management Committee, in his presidential address spoke about the importance of good education in the present scenario.
The Principal Sri Sandeep Kumar briefed the students about the college and assured the parents that their ward would get quality education with good facilities and environment.
The introduction regarding the academic disciplines and how it is an inevitable ingredient for good career was given by Smt. Shakunthala R. Palan.
Mr. Sandeep Shenoy briefed the students about the importance of competitive exams and effective planning for the exams.
The students and parents were welcomed by the Vice Principal Smt. Ranjana K.
