A felicitation ceremony was held in Vidyodaya Pre-University College premises to honour the students of the academic year, 2023-24 for their impeccable achievements in the annual examination, KCET, NEET and JEE examination, on 1st July 2024.
The programme was graced by the presence of his holiness, Sri Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Adhokshaja Matha, Udupi. Paramapoojya Swamiji was welcomed and honoured by the members of the College Management Committee by garlanding him and offering him fruits as a token of respect.
The programme began with a prayer and it was followed by the felicitation of the rank holders and the meritorious students. His Holiness of Pejawar Matha felicitated the students by giving away the Certificates of Appreciation and Cash Prizes.
Addressing the students Paramapoojya Swamiji highlighted the importance of sound mind and body and the persistent efforts to achieve their goals.
The Secretary of the College Management Committee Sri K. Ganesh Rao, in his presidential address appreciated the efforts of the students who brought laurels to the institution and said that they are the real role models of the others. He also praised the Principal and faculty members for their support and hard work.
The Management Committee members have contributed 32.28 Lakh rupees for distribution of scholarship for meritorious and economically weak students for the academic year 2024-25.
The presence of Sri Padmaraj Acharya, Treasurer of the College Management Committee, Sri Sandeep Kumar, The Principal and Smt. Ranjana K., the Vice Principal, parents and students made the occasion more mementoes.
Sri Sandeep Shenoy, lecturer, Department of Physics announced the names of meritorious students, Sri Sandeep Kumar, the Principal welcomed the gathering and Smt. Ranjana K., Vice Principal proposed Vote of thanks. The proud parents who witnessed the ceremony were overjoyed to see their wards being felicitated.
