Anti-Drug Awareness programme for P.U Students was conducted on 24th June 2023 at Vidyodaya P.U. College, Udupi. Circle Inspector of Udupi Sri Nanjappa, the resource person, with his team created awareness on harmful effects of drug addiction. The programme began with a welcome speech by the Principal of the college Sri Sandeep Kumar.
Addressing the students Mr. Nanjappa stressed how the global drug trade is a major threat and problem that has put security and law enforcement agencies of India on high alert.
It is a social problem that harms youth and families, and the money it generates is diverted for disruptive activities that have bearing on national security.
To bring awareness against these threats, Mr. Nanjappa discussed various aspects of drug abuse emphasizing prevention and how to seek professional help.
