Anti-Drug Awareness and Cyber Crime and its prevention programme was conducted on 25th June 2024 at Vidyodaya Pre-University College, Udupi. Sub Inspector of Udupi Town Police Station, Sri Eranna, was the resource person of the programme. The programme commenced with a welcome speech by the Principal of the college Sri Sandeep Kumar.
Addressing the students Mr. Eranna shed light on the adverse effects of drug addiction and urged the students to stay away from such illegal substances. He also spoke about the violations of the motor vehicles regulations and importance of possessing licence. The awareness programme also covered the other crucial topics, such as POCSO, Cybercrime and Health and Hygiene.
Further, important prevention measures were also shared to bring awareness among the students. The Sub Inspector shared some important sections of law on women safety, preventive measures and helpline numbers.
